It's been a busy month with the site redesign close to completion. The old galleries are being moved and converted into the new format. Feedback on the new design so far has been very positive.

Last weekend, the camera got a workout when I headed down to Bunbury with mate Nathan to cover a Bikini Car Wash for Josh from Perth Street Scene . 4 hours of shooting with Nicole, Ash, Carla, Michelle , Amie and Carla B. Was something a little different to the normal car related shoots I do. The day was a great success for everyone concerned. Check out the Bikini Car Wash photos

While I'm on about new galleries added to the site, I have activated Ash Walkers Motorvation 24 photos in the new Aussie/US Muscle show section. And for the circuit racing fans, Ray Oliver has uploaded a few new galleries to the site. In 1980, Mick Oliver (Ray's father) was a photographer at the 1980 Australian Touring Car Championship at Wanneroo Raceway. But back then, it was all film not digital. Ray and his Dad have begun scanning some of the old slides and will upload them as they complete them.

Last weekend also saw the running of Round 22 of the Summer Hill Climb series. Held at Jack's Hill behind the Wanneroo Raceway in 37° heat, this event is "hottly" contended among the sprint fraternity here in Perth.

February is starting to look even busier. Saturday 13th feb is the 29th running of Big Als Poker Run for cars built Pre 1978. this event has always had a huge turnout of great cars, February 20th & 21st will be the FIRST GAZZANATS for WA. It's being held at the Collie Motorplex and both Ash and myself will be covering both these events.

Wannneroo Raceway has events planned all February with Rnd 4 of the WA Drift Battle on feb 6th, Round 1 of Twighlight Short Circuit Sprint Serires, and Round 1 of the popular Night Masters starts on Feb 20th.

Perth Motorplex also has a busy February, the usual Whoop Ass Wednesdays are on. Friday 12th is Round 4 of the Fast Friday series Drag/Sportsman Speedway. February 27th/28th is the 39th Annual Western Nationals and will include the Andra Pro Series Top Door Slammers and Top Bikes. This is the biggest event on the calendar for WA Drag Racers and always a good show. I will be endeavouring to be there as part of the Beat The Heat Drag Racing crew, and if so, will try and sneak some shots in without being caught :).

Aces Ford Club will be having their annual Aces Ford Cruise is on again Saturday 13th March. this event is open to all makes and models of cars so bring your ride and cruise along. I'll post up more details when they come to hand.

January Street Machine Magazine.

This month's issue of Street Machine Magazine covers the 2009 Bright Rod Run. The majority of the photos appearing in the article were shot by John Harney from Biante12.com. "Of all the magazines and stories I could be involved with, this one is the one I am most happy about. The second year in a row my photos have featured in the Bright Rod Run article in SM. Hopefully there will be many more to come."

Support our Crew, Don't steal our photos. They're not that expensive to buy and they don't have watermarks. We don't get paid to cover events and in many instances, actually have to pay for the right to shoot at them, so stealing photos (even watermarked ones), only makes us wonder why we bother.
